Dr. Theo Caners

Dr. Caners graduated from the University of Waterloo as an Optometrist in 1993.  He opened "Portage Family Eye Care" in 1996 and has been serving the community ever since.  He is a local to Portage la Prairie and can often be seen active in the community.  From taking his staff to charity barbecues to scheduling and organizing the Portage Adult Volleyball League.  

 

Dr. Caners cares about the health of his community and he treats his patients as if he were treating himself or his family.  When presented with an eye problem, Dr. Caners will investigate until he has exhausted all avenues.  As an Optometrist, Dr. Caners examines your vision to determine whether or not eyeglasses or contact lenses are required and what prescription is needed.  Moreover, he is also inspecting the overall health of your eyes.  He may be checking for conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, or systematic problems such as diabetes and uncontrolled high blood pressure.
